I. Education objectives
The education object of this discipline are foreigners or overseas Chinese whose mother languages are not Chinese and who have senior high school degree or above. The education objective is to cultivate high quality engineering and technical talents who have profound understanding towards contemporary China’s politics, economy, culture and society, have mechanical design & manufacturing and automation knowledge, be able to engage in design and manufacturing, technology development, application research and management in mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing, and mechanical-electrical integration fields, and capable of promoting friendly cooperation between China and the countries in which those international students settle.
II. Education standard
(I) Basic quality requirements
1. Have the quality of abiding by laws and disciplines, unity and cooperation; have good ideological and professional ethics.
2. Have good humanistic accomplishment, strong modern consciousness and high professional quality, master basic skills and way of thinking necessary for this discipline.
(II) Knowledge structure requirements
1. Have solid natural science knowledge and good communication skill in Chinese language.
2. Master basic knowledge in Chinese language and computer application.
3. Master basic knowledge and professional knowledge in machine manufacturing and its automation, and understand forefront theory and development trend in this discipline.
(III) Ability structure requirements
1. Have good self-study habit and ability, good expression and communication skills, certain computer and information technology application capability.
2. Have the ability of comprehensively applying theoretical knowledge and skills mastered to engage in mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing and mechanical-electrical integration products R&D.
3. Have strong innovation spirit and creative thinking skills, and certain engineering capability and practical ability.
4. Master basic methods for literature retrieval and data inquiry.
5. Have skilled communication and application ability in Chinese, and be able to promote friendly cooperation between China and the countries in which international students settle.

Length of schooling: the basic length of schooling is four years, students can finish course of study within three to six years, the specific task is implemented according to relevant regulations by the school.
Instruction language: English.
Chinese language requirement: HSK level 4 or equivalent.
Minimum credits for graduation: 127 credit points
Degree awarded: Bachelor of Engineering
