Delegation from the National Research University of Electronic Technology Visits Our University

On the afternoon of July 2, Vladimir Bespalov, President of the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) in Moscow, Russia, along with Senior Advisor A.V. Zverev, Vice President A.G. Balashov, and five other delegates, visited our university. Vice President Wang Binrui met with the guests and presided over a seminar in Meeting Room A216 of Mingde Building. The meeting was attended by staff from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Optical and Electronic Technology and College of Information Engineering.

During the meeting, both sides presented their universities' development histories, academic programs, and research collaborations. The discussions focused on potential research partnerships in optoelectronics, semiconductor integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence. They also explored the feasibility of international research projects and the establishment of joint laboratories. Additionally, student exchange programs, short-term study programs, and joint master’s degree programs were discussed. Vice President Wang highlighted the strong alignment between the two universities' expertise in optoelectronics and expressed optimism about the significant potential for further collaboration. He encouraged both parties to engage in active communication and to promptly sign a memorandum of understanding to advance the international development of the university’s optical engineering discipline.

Established in 1965, the National Research University of Electronic Technology is the only specialized electronic technology university among Russia's national research universities. It comprises 10 departments, offering 40 undergraduate programs, 42 master’s programs, and 16 doctoral programs. The university serves over 4,500 students and employs more than 600 staff, including over 100 science doctors and professors. MIET is also a governing member of the Electronic Component Base (ECB) University Association and a member of the Russian Association of Leading Universities.
