The Law School (Intellectual Property School) of China Jiliang University is situated in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, renowned for its historical and cultural significance, vibrant innovation, and ecological civilization. The Law School itself was inaugurated in April 2002, followed by the Intellectual Property School in December 2009. Both schools share a collaborative office space, fostering an environment of integrated academic endeavors. Adhering to the motto "Cultivate Virtue and Respect for Law, Harmonize Morality and Law, Nurture Learning and Personal Growth, Unify Knowledge and Action," the school has, over more than two decades, developed a multi-tiered educational framework encompassing undergraduate programs, master's programs, top-up degree programs, and second bachelor's degree programs.

Currently, the school boasts a total enrollment of 1,499 full-time students, including more than 216 postgraduates. There are 67 full-time faculty members, consisting of 9 professors and 21 associate professors, 54 of whom hold doctoral degrees. The school is also the home to over ten high-level talents. Prominent among these is the unique "Zhijiang Young Social Science Scholars" intellectual property research team, the only one of its kind in Zhejiang's higher education institutions. The school also engages a robust network of over 100 visiting and adjunct professors, as well as external mentors.

Academically, the school is authorized to confer master's degrees in Law as a first-level discipline and professional master's degrees in Law. It is distinguished by its Law program, recognized as a first-class discipline in Zhejiang Province. The undergraduate offerings include Law, a top provincial-level program, and Intellectual Property, a top national-level program.

The members of the school have achieved considerable research success, securing 16 National Social Science Fund projects and overseeing more than 100 provincial and ministerial level topics, including those within the National Key R&D Program. They have published over 200 academic articles in prestigious journals and newspapers such as Legal Studies, China Legal Science, Guangming Daily, and Economic Daily. Additionally, they have edited nearly 20 specialized textbooks, including Quality Inspection Law Tutorial, Intellectual Property Law, and Patent Law.
