Research Institute of Precision Testing and Control was established in 2002, based on the first-class discipline in Zhejiang province (class A). It is mainly engaged in research in the field of precision measurement technology, photoelectric detection technology, acoustic measurement and detection technology and measurement and cultivation of students in control technology and instrument.
At present, there are 32 full-time teachers, including 8 professors, 12 associate professors, 27 teachers with doctoral degree, 2 national talents, 1 innovative and entrepreneurial talent of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 leading talent in universities of Zhejiang Province, and many of them have been selected as 151 talents in Zhejiang Province.
After years of efforts, the research institute formed multiple distinctive research directions, mainly including: precision measurement direction (geometric ultra-precision testing technology and instruments, key parts precision automatic detection technology, new sensing technology), photoelectric detection direction (photoelectric detection technology, spectral measurement and application technology, intelligent instrument and control technology), acoustic measurement and detection direction (marine acoustics, medical ultrasound), etc.
In the past five years, researchers in the institute have undertaken more than 150 scientific research projects, including more than 40 national, provincial and ministerial projects, total scientific research funds of 40 million yuan, published more than 300 academic papers, more than 80 authorized invention patents, won many provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards, and was selected as a Zhejiang Provincial science and technology innovation team.
