In order to better adapt Marxism to the Chinese context, under the support of the Publicity Department of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and the CPC Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Education Department, China Jiliang University established Research and Communication Center of Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context (hereinafter referred to as the Center). The construction of the Center started in March 2018, and it was completed and put into use in May 2019. In December 2019, the center was identified as a new-type university think tank in Zhejiang Province.
The Center covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters. There are nearly 10,000 volumes of Marxist classics, literature, audio and video materials. A professional guide team was established, including 11 young doctoral teachers, 12 graduate students and 10 undergraduate students. It is a multi-functional platform integrating Marxist theoretical research, on-site teaching, collection & display, dissemination and publicity, reading & discussion and activities related to CPC and Communist Youth League of China.
