National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Disaster Monitoring Technology and Instruments

The National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Disaster Monitoring Technology and Instruments is managed by the director under the leadership of the board of directors. The laboratory possesses monitoring sensing technology, public safety monitoring instruments, disaster monitoring robots, four scientific research centers for technology transfer and cooperation exchanges. The area for scientific research is more than 2,000 square meters, and the total value of instruments and equipment is more than 50 million yuan. In addition, there are 70 R&D personnel in this team, including 1 national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" talent, 1 national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" top young talent, 2 winners of Fund for Zhejiang Outstanding Youngsters, 5 second level of Zhejiang Province 151 talents and third level of Zhejiang Province 151 talents. More than 70% of the teachers have associate professor or above titles, and more than 80% of them are with doctoral degrees. From January 2018 to January 2022, the laboratory have won 17 national scientific research projects, 29 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and 75 international cooperation projects;156 new patents have been granted, including 118 invention patents and 38 utility model patents; 167 papers in international leading journals (TOP or SCI/SSCI, EI) and 64 papers in national core journals have been published; and11 books have been published. Moreover, the laboratory have won 1 first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Zhejiang Province and 1 second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Zhejiang Province, 1 first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Society for Measurement, 1 second prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award, and 1 Chinese Excellent Patent Award.


In 2021, the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Disaster Monitoring Technology and Instruments was evaluated as excellent by Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The laboratory has become one of the main bases for scientific research, talent training and academic exchanges in this field.
