I. Education objectives
The education object of this discipline are the foreigners or overseas Chinese whose mother languages are not Chinese or have senior high school degree (or above) . It aims to cultivate a comprehensive personality that meets the needs of modern international society, has a good understanding of contemporary Chinese economic, political, cultural and social development. Also, they can friendly participate and promote the exchanges and cooperation in the field of biology between China and his motherland. They have a sound personality and a humanistic society basic knowledge and humanistic cultivation of the subject, with solid basic knowledge and basic skills in arts and sciences, life sciences, and biomedicine, with innovative thinking and a wide range of academic horizons, the potential for further studies and development, and certain innovation capabilities and entrepreneurial potential. Furthermore, they have Innovative research talents and can engage in scientific research work in the future; and apply their professional knowledge and skills for research, development, production, quality control, testing, management and other work in the modern pharmaceutical industry and related fields. II. Education standard
(I) Basic quality requirements
1. Study hard with rigorous attitude of scholarship. Establish scientific world outlook and correct outlook on life and value, and have good thought morality, social morality and professional ethnics.
2. Have good humanistic accomplishment, strong modern consciousness and high professional quality, and master basic skills and way of thinking necessary for pharmacy discipline.
3. Master basic skills for physical exercise in a scientific way to meet physical education standard stipulated by the state for university students, and have good physical and sound psychological quality.
(II) Knowledge structure requirements
1. Instrumental knowledge: master basic Chinese knowledge, understand China's general situation, and have the initial ability to use daily language and read Chinese materials of this specialty; enable to use English proficiently for professional study, master basic knowledge in scientific methodology and scientific writing; have strong computer operation skills.
2. Knowledge of humanities and social sciences: master knowledge in general literature, history, philosophy, bioethics, ethics, politics, art, law, psychology, etc.
3. Natural science knowledge: master strong knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc.
4. Social science knowledge: understand the knowledge of human social development and its laws, including economics, law, politics, sociology, journalism and other aspects.
5. Engineering and technical knowledge: master basic knowledge of certain biological engineering principles.
6. Discipline professional knowledge: master the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills of pharmaceuticals and receive solid professional theory and professional skills training.

Length of schooling: the basic length of schooling is four years. Students can finish course of study within three to six years, the specific task is implemented according to relevant regulations by the school.

VII. Description of credit recognition for other grades taken by students
The students are encouraged to participate the discipline contest activities of biology and pharmacy. The contest winning certificates obtained by the students can admit to be the credits which should be reviewed and approved by the college and professional committee.
