With the aim to attract more foreign students to study and do research in Zhejiang Province, increase the education quality and popularity of Zhejiang Province, the provincial government of Zhejiang establishes the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students.
1. The Applicants of the Scholarship
The scholarship is available to students who plan to study in Zhejiang Province, including postgraduates, undergraduates and long-term students (more than one semester). All applicants should be healthy.
2. The Categories of this Scholarship
The Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students can be divided into three categories: A-scholarship (30,000 RMB per year), B-scholarship (20,000 RMB per year) and C-scholarship ( 6,000RMB per year).
A-scholarship: it provides financial aid to excellent international students who pursue master or doctor degrees in Zhejiang province. The scholarship is mainly used to pay registration fee, tuition fee, basic textbooks fee, accommodation fee, major disease and accident insurance and so on.
B-scholarship: it provides financial aid to students who pursue Bachelor degree in Zhejiang Province. The scholarship is mainly used to pay registration fee, tuition fee, basic textbooks fee, accommodation fee, major disease and accident insurance and so on.
C-scholarship (Excellent Student Scholarship): it provides financial aids to excellent long-term (more than one semester) students who study in Zhejiang province.
3. Basic Qualifications;
A-scholarship: applicants who apply for master degree scholarship should have acquired bachelor degree and should have recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors. Applicants should be younger than 35 years old. Applicants who apply for doctor degree scholarship should have acquired master degree and should have recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors. Applicants should be younger than 40 years old.
B-scholarship: applicants who apply for bachelor degree scholarship should have education qualification which is equivalent to Chinese senior high school.
4. Other Qualifications of this Scholarship
(1). applicants should be foreigner with a foreign passport and be friendly to China. Applicants should be physically healthy.
(2). applicants should behave well in class and campus and have no records of violating laws and regulations of China and their universities.
(3).applicants should possess corresponding Chinese language ability with proof like HSK certificate and so on. Qualifications on majors using English as teaching language can be flexible.
(4).applicants should be top students in his or her grade or class.
(5).applicants who have won other Chinese government scholarships are not eligible.
5. Applying for Scholarship
(1) Time to accept applications:
Our university begins to accept application each year from January to May. Foreign students meet the above qualifications can apply annually.
