On 25 May, Zhejiang-Czech Center for People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges and Research Institute for Central and Eastern Europe jointly established by China Jiliang University (CJLU) and University of Finance and Administration (VSFS) were officially unveiled. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Che Jun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zhejiang Province; Silvana Jirotkova, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Petr Mrhalek, Executive Deputy Chairman of Czech China Chamber of Collaboration; Song Mingshun, President of CJLU, etc.

In the speech, Che Jun stated that both Zhejiang Province and the Czech Republic are rich in historical and cultural heritage, and friendly exchanges between the two sides are frequent. Various platforms built by different sectors of society provide fertile soil and lay solid foundation for strengthening people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two sides. He hopes that the two sides will make joint efforts to build the Zhejiang-Czech Center for People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges into a window for mutual understanding, bridge for strengthening friendship and brand for promoting cultural exchanges between the two sides.
During the ceremony, Che Jun donated a batch of Chinese reading materials to the Confucius Institute jointly established by CJLU and VSFS, and he announced to provide 10 candidacies of Scholarship of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province to the Confucius Institute at VSFS.
At the Zhejiang-Czech Forum on People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges jointly held by CJLU and VSFS, President Song Mingshun stated that the two universities will go forward hand in hand to erect a bridge of people-to-people and cultural exchanges, promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between Zhejiang Province and the Czech Republic and serve the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) construction.
