Recently, Professor Heinz Herwig from Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg visited CJLU and delivered a series of academic lectures.
On March 4, Prof. Li Dongsheng, Dean of School of Metrological Technology and Engineering, extended his warmly welcome to Prof. Heinz Herwig, he was very happy for Prof. Herwig visited our school again and briefly introduced the present scientific research work in his school. Then, Prof. Heinz Herwig earnestly listened to progress report of the project which presided over by Prof. Zhou Jingwei and other members of the project group. On the project, both sides made a deep discussion and Prof. Herwig gave us beneficial suggestions.
On the afternoon of ther same day , Prof. Herwig was invited by the students majoring in Thermal Power and Engineering to give a demonstration lesson on “Engineering Thermodynamics”. Nearly ten teachers participated in this lesson.
On March 5. Prof. Herwig gave us an academic report, that is “Overall entropy production and friction factors for channles with rough walls” and “Heat tranfer under unsteadily impinging jets: A systematics study”. After listening to that, both teachers and students think this report will inspire them a lot of new thoughts and ideas on their study as well as research work in future.
