On April 9, a delegation from Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), which includes Professor Gary Packham, Pro-Vice Chancellor and dean of Faculty of Business and Law; Dr. Simon Evans, director of International Partnerships, Faculty of Business and Law; Dr. Xie Ying, head of School in Economics, Finance and Law, Faculty of Business and Law; and Jin Jing, senior international manager, International Office of ARU, visited China Jiliang University (CJLU). President Song Mingshun met with the delegation. Vice President Yu Xiaoping, as well as director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and dean of College of Economics & Management of CJLU attended the meeting.
President Song Mingshun first welcomed the delegation, and then briefly reviewed cooperation with ARU, hoping that both parties will further broaden cooperation between the two universities. Pro-Vice Chancellor Gary Packham briefly introduced profile of ARU, and expressed strong willingness to deepen the cooperation with CJLU. During the meeting, ARU and CJLU jointly reviewed achievements of the joint bachelor program of Financial Engineering, being optimistic about cooperation in various fields in future.
The joint bachelor program of Financial Engineering between CJLU and ARU (3+1 program) started enrolling students since September, 2015. At present, 14 students of Class 2015 are studying at ARU for the final academic year. During the meeting, CJLU and ARU reached an agreement on the next round of cooperation. Besides, the two parties discussed the necessity and feasibility of joint programs of MBA, DBA and other PhD programs.
At the meeting, ARU signed the agreement to join the Belt and Road University Alliance for Standardization Education and Academics (B&R UAS), which was jointly initiated by CJLU and other 12 universities in May, 2018.
