President Song Mingshun Delivered a Keynote Speech on Opening Ceremony of the 7th China (Ningbo)-CEEC Education Cooperation Exchange & 1st CEEC Think Tank Forum

On June 9, Opening Ceremony of the 7th China (Ningbo)-CEEC Education Cooperation Exchange & 1st CEEC Think Tank Forum was held in Ningbo. This event was hosted by Ningbo Municipal Government and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, held both online and on site. The event was attended by consular officials of CEECs such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Slovak Republic, and Greece in Shanghai, delegates of foreign organizations of countries such as Singapore, delegates of nearly 100 universities and colleges in provinces such as Jiangsu, Sichuan, Anhui, Heilongjiang and Hebei, as well as experts and scholars in the field of education.

Leaders from the Ministry of Education, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, Ningbo Municipality, Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Shanghai, Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, Consulate General of Greece in Shanghai attended the event and delivered speeches. At the opening ceremony, Zhejiang-CEEC Education Think Tank Alliance, formed by 26 universities across Zhejiang Province, including Ningbo University of Technology was established. Zhejiang-CEEC Education Think Tank Alliance is committed to promoting the two-way flow of educational resources, scientific and technological resources and human resources between Zhejiang and CEECs to contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative and seek the prosperity and development of both sides. China Jiliang University joined Zhejiang-CEEC Education Think Tank Alliance, and President Song Mingshun was elected vice chair.

The theme of the 1st CEEC Think Tank Forum is “Think Tank Construction and Digital Education”. President Song Mingshun was invited to deliver a keynote speech entitled “Development of Think Tank for B&R Regional Standardization”. The other three speakers were Chen Xin, Deputy Director-General of Institute of European Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Marek Ciesielczuk, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Shanghai; and Ioan Vasile Abrudan, Rector of Transilvania University of Braşov, the Third Secretariat in CEECs on rotation basis.
