On the morning of September 18, Ms. Monica Yang, the Regional Director for Asia and the Middle East from Global Engagement Office at Brunel University London, visited our university. A meeting was held in Conference Room A216 of Mingde Building, attended by Wang Jianqi, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Xu Su'an, Deputy Dean of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Kong Ming, Deputy Dean of the College of Metrology Measurement and Instrument, Shan Liang, Deputy Dean of the College of Information Engineering, Huang Dongmei, Deputy Dean of the College of Energy Environment and Safety Engineering, Xu Xingsheng, Deputy Dean of the College of Quality and Standardization, and staff from the International Office.
During the meeting, both parties introduced the development history, educational characteristics, and international exchange activities of their respective universities. They focused on the proposed 1+1+1 master's degree program and its special features, engaging in in-depth discussions on enhancing academic exchange, collaborative education, and research cooperation between the two universities. Monica particularly mentioned that in June of this year, Professor Xu Jiangrong, Secretary of the Party Committee and former President of our university, led a delegation to visit Brunel University, laying a solid foundation for deeper cooperation between the two institutions. This summer, our university sent 19 students to participate in the Brunel University London Summer Camp, which was a successful practice of cooperation and exchange. Brunel University looks forward to deeper collaboration with our university in areas such as research cooperation, dual master's programs, and faculty and student exchanges.
