On the morning of March 14, a delegation from Kazakhstan International Information Technology University (IITU), led by Rector Isakov Assylbek and Vice Rector Diyusebayev Dauren, visited our university for an exchange and cooperation discussion. Xu Jiangrong, Secretary of the CPC China Jiliang University Committee, and Vice President Wang Xinqing attended the reception. Representatives from the College of International Education, the Research Institute of Science and Technology, the College of Information Engineering, and the International Office participated in the meeting.
At the meeting held in Room A209 of Mingde Building, Secretary Xu Jiangrong warmly welcomed the delegation. He noted that IITU, as a leading institution in Kazakhstan’s IT sector, enjoys a strong reputation in computer science, communications engineering, and digital technology, aligning closely with our university’s "New Engineering" development strategy. With the rapid advancement of global digital transformation and the deep integration of metrology science with intelligent and networked technologies, the two universities have vast potential for collaboration in discipline development, technological innovation, and talent cultivation. He hoped this visit would further strengthen research cooperation and establish a long-term partnership, jointly exploring innovative models for international education and scientific collaboration.

Following the meeting, Vice President Wang Xinqing delivered a welcome speech, introducing CJLU’s development achievements and international cooperation efforts. He emphasized the complementary strengths of both institutions in interdisciplinary fields such as "IT + metrology technology" and industry-academia-research collaboration. He proposed practical cooperation in faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and technology transfer through initiatives such as summer workshops, international joint laboratories, and cultural exchange programs.

Rector Isakov Assylbek expressed gratitude for the warm reception and introduced his university’s academic programs and talent cultivation in IT, artificial intelligence, and big data. He stated that this visit would enhance collaboration in education, research, and faculty-student exchanges, promoting academic cooperation between Chinese and Kazakh universities.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on future collaboration models, agreeing to begin with student exchanges and gradually expand to faculty visits and joint research. Recognizing their complementary strengths in digital technology and intelligent metrology, our two universities pledged to deepen cooperation through academic exchanges, joint laboratories, and other initiatives.

Later, Secretary Xu Jiangrong and Rector Isakov Assylbek signed a Memorandum of Understanding, outlining cooperation in faculty exchanges, student mobility, and joint research, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.

During their visit, the delegation toured the Metrology Museum, gaining insights into the history and culture of metrology.

Kazakhstan International IT University, founded in 2009, is a leading higher education institution in Central Asia for internationally recognized IT professionals and the only university in Kazakhstan accredited by ASIIN. Its programs in "Information Systems" and "Information Security" rank among the nation's best. This visit marks a significant step in bilateral cooperation of our two universities, paving the way for practical collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative to advance technological innovation and talent development in both countries.
