On the morning of June 10, a delegation from the Faculty of Computing at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), led by Professor Siti Zaiton Mohd Hashim, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, visited China Jiliang University (CJLU) to strengthen mutual understanding and explore opportunities for cooperation. Vice President Wang Binrui warmly received the delegation in Meeting Room A209 of the Mingde Building. The meeting was also attended by Wang Jianqi, Director of the International Office, Shan Liang, Vice Dean of the College of Information Engineering, and other staff members from the International Office.
Vice President Wang extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a brief overview of CJLU's development and academic strengths. He noted that Malaysia is one of China's key partners in Southeast Asia and that UTM, as one of Malaysia's top national universities, enjoys a strong reputation in engineering and information sciences. CJLU attaches great importance to cooperation with Malaysian universities and hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to establish a long-term and stable partnership in areas such as scientific research and faculty and student exchanges.

At the discussion held in Meeting Room A216, Director Wang Jianqi gave a comprehensive introduction to CJLU's distinctive educational approach, development strategy, and achievements in international cooperation. He expressed the hope that CJLU and UTM would strengthen alignment and take this exchange as a starting point to expand areas of collaboration, establish a regular communication mechanism, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Professor Siti Zaiton provided a detailed overview of the Faculty of Computing at UTM, including its development history, academic programs, research projects, and international partnerships. She noted that UTM places great emphasis on collaboration with Chinese universities and that Chinese students currently make up the largest group of international students at UTM. She expressed her hope to deepen cooperation with CJLU in areas such as research platform development, faculty exchange, student mobility, and joint project initiatives.

Following the meeting, Professor Siti Zaiton Mohd Hashim and her delegation visited the College of Information Engineering for further exchange and a campus tour. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Shan Liang and attended by Vice Dean Zhao Jianwei, Deputy Party Secretary Yang Guangjun, as well as heads and key faculty members from the Departments of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Vice Dean Shan Liang gave a detailed presentation on the College's academic programs, student enrollment, faculty structure, and international engagement. Deputy Dean Siti Zaiton presented a promotional video of UTM and introduced the Faculty of Computing's developments in teaching and research. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential avenues and models of future cooperation in areas such as faculty exchange, student mobility programs, joint research, and academic lectures.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the College's Practical Teaching Demonstration Center, where they gained a deeper understanding of the laboratory facilities, hands-on teaching practices, and student training approaches.

This visit laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between CJLU and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, further deepening mutual understanding and trust. It also injected new momentum into promoting multi-level collaboration between the two universities in areas such as science, technology, and the humanities.
