CJLU Holds Farewell Party for 2025 International Graduates

Jun 20, 2025

As the cicadas sing in midsummer, the farewell songs for graduates begin. On the afternoon of June 17, China Jiliang University held the farewell party for the 2025 class of international graduates on the second floor of the G3 dining hall. Vice President Wang Binrui attended and delivered a speech. The gathering provided a warm occasion for everyone to share food, exchange memories, and mark the end of the graduates' time on campus.

In his speech, Vice President Wang extended heartfelt congratulations to all the international graduates. He encouraged them to stay connected with China and with their alma mater, to always be grateful, to continue striving for their dreams, and to serve as bridges of friendship between China and the world no matter where they are. He urged them to contribute to exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. Finally, he emphasized that CJLU will always be their spiritual home and warmly welcomed graduates to return and visit often. Graduate representatives also shared heartfelt words of gratitude to the university, reflecting on their academic experiences and personal growth during their time at CJLU. They expressed that no matter where life takes them, their hearts will always be tied to China and to CJLU.

To help the university improve its talent cultivation programs and enhance the quality of international education, the School of International Education held a roundtable discussion with graduate representatives earlier that day. Faculty and students engaged in interactive discussions on the development of international student education at CJLU. The graduates offered valuable suggestions and feedback based on their experiences and personal growth. As a gesture of best wishes, the school presented each participating student with a graduation gift—a copy of the book Observing China's Development from Zhejiang. The book highlights the remarkable transformation of Zhejiang under the guidance of the “Eight-Eight Strategy” and tells the story of Chinese modernization as exemplified by Zhejiang Province. Through this gift, the school hopes international graduates will draw strength from its pages, promote mutual development through exchange and learning, contribute to building new spaces for intercultural dialogue, and share more stories of a pragmatic, open China with the world.

Graduation marks not only the end of a chapter in academic life, but also the beginning of a new journey. With the care and expectations of their alma mater, CJLU's international graduates will set out with greater resolve to write their own brilliant chapters in life.
