I. Bioengineering

  • Training Objectives: The major of Bioengineering is an engineering discipline that applies biology, chemistry, and engineering technology to utilize, transform, and design the structure and function of organisms according to the needs, and  realize industrialization of organisms with the help of engineering technology based on the results of biotechnology research. This major aims to cultivating all-round development talents that meet the needs of development of biological testing industry in modern society, master basic theories and basic knowledge of modern bioengineering, and have a comprehensive knowledge and ability of  quality testing and standards application in the whole process of  biological medicine, biological reagents and other biological products.

  • Main courses: General biology; Biochemistry; Microbiology; Cell biology; Physical chemistry; Genetic engineering; Chemical principles; Fermentation engineering; Biological separation engineering; Biological engineering equipment.

  • Career Destinations: Quality supervision system, enterprises for biological products, third-party testing institutions, departments for metrology and standards, and related research institutes. Graduates can be engaged in quality supervision and testing, testing and evaluation of biological resources and biological products, standardization, development and application of biological products, etc.  in the field of biological engineering.


II. Food Quality and Safety

III. Health Inspection and Quarantine

  • Training Objectives: This major aims to cultivate all-around developed students with moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labour education, and become inter-disciplinary specialists in health inspection and quarantine who can meet the needs of public health undertakings, health inspection and quarantine work and social modernization development in China. After studying in this major, students will be full of social responsibility, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and practice ability, master advanced technologies of health inspection and quarantine, have a strong ability to respond to public health emergencies, know well technical standards and regulations for domestic and international inspection and quarantine, and be competent for working in disease control and prevention, hospital clinical test, food hygiene monitoring and environmental health monitoring.

IV. Pharmacy
