In 2017, the International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Micro-Nano Manufacturing and Optoelectronic Testing was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a national demonstration base for international science and technology cooperation. At present, the cooperation base has five research directions including optical fiber sensing, printed optoelectronics, semiconductor lighting, photoelectric detection technology, and spectral technology and instrument research.
After years of development, the base has established friendly cooperative relations with many universities and research institutions in Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Portugal and other countries. The base has invited many experts and scholars to the laboratory to carry out research and development. For cooperative research, many famous people have visited our school successively, including Michele Muccini, director of the Institute of Nanostructured Materials of the Italian National Academy of Sciences, Professor Fumin Huang of Queen's University Belfast, and experts from the Russian Institute of Physics and Technology. The base has dispatched more than 30 teachers and students to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan and other countries for cooperative research and advanced studies. The base has hosted a number of international conferences in the field, such as IWOON2019/ICOM2019/ISO-TC172.
Based on research characteristics of China Jiliang University, which are "measurement, standards, and quality", the base takes the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative as an opportunity to continuously improve the ability to gather international innovation resources, strengthen the condensation and cultivation of iconic achievements, and promote the university's development in related technical fields and fields. On the basis of years of cooperation and exchanges, the base has successively won several awards including the second prize of the National Science Progress Award.
