The Engineering Research Center of Metrology Technology and Instrument, Ministry of Education is a ministerial-level research institution approved by the Ministry of Education based at China Jiliang University. The center has built an industry-university-research integration platform centering on three aspects: "safety monitoring of the major projects", "testing of food quality and safety", "New material development and characteristic testing" investigating and characteristic measurement of new material". The center has built venues with more than 6,500 square meters for engineering and measurement. The center has more than 80 large scientific instruments such as femtosecond lasers, optical fiber temperature, stress sensing platforms, infrared, fluorescence, Raman and other spectrometers, and mass spectrometers for micro-vibration samples. The total worth of the instruments is more than 54 million yuan. Since the beginning of its establishment, the center has won 2 second prizes of the National Technology Invention Award, 1 first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, 1 first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Technology Invention Award, 3 first prizes of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society for Measurement, 1 first prize of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award, 1 second prize of the Ministry of Education's Science and Technology Progress Award, and 10 second prizes of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award. Up to now, more than 600 longitudinal scientific research projects have been approved in the center, including 973/863 Program projects, National Key R&D Program projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Zhejiang Provincial R&D projects, etc. In addition, more than 1,000 horizontal development cooperation projects have also been granted.
