Under the guidance of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Province Key Laboratory of Modern Measurement Technology and Instrument focuses on three research directions: photoelectric detection technology and instrumentation, luminescent materials and semiconductor lighting, and optical fiber sensing and its application technology based on China Jiliang University's features of metrology, standards amd quality, and the key disciplines and doctoral program of "optical engineering" in Zhejiang Province. The laboratory aims to be one of the major bases for scientific research and innovation and senior personnel training in testing and instrumentation technology with the concept of "quality, metering and standard", which is first-class in Zhejiang province and advanced in China. There are 52 lab members, with senior titles and doctors accounting for more than 90%. The "New Distributed Optical Fiber Temperature Sensing Technology Based on Raman Scattering and Engineering Safety Monitoring Application" independently developed by the laboratory won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award. In recent years, the laboratory has won nearly 20 awards at provincial and ministerial level, and has undertaken 200 research projects, including Major National Research Projects and National Natural Science Foundation projects, etc. There are more than 300 horizontal cooperation projects. Researchers in the laboratory have published more than 500 academic papers, including more than 150 SCI-indexed papers and 200 EI-indexed papers; more than 500 patents have been authorized, including nearly 300 invention patents, and more than 10 standards have been developed. The industry-university-research cooperation directly generates economic benefits of hundreds of millions of yuan for enterprises.
