On May 19-21, the final round of 18th “Challenge Cup” National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition co-hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, Zhejiang Academy of Social Sciences, The Students’ Federation of Zhejiang Province was held in Hangzhou Normal University. After fierce competition, CJLU Students won 8 gold Medals and CJLU was awarded Excellent Organization Award. Altogether 25 works were recommended by CJLU to participate in the competition, among which 14 works entered the final competition.
During the final competition, Cheng Gang, deputy secretary of CJLU Committee of Communist Party of China had a cordial talk with teachers and students participating in the competition. He encouraged students to be united as one, stay calm, present their scientific research achievements confidently and show the youthful demeanor of CJLU students. Heads of CJLU Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and relevant colleges also came to the competition site, providing positive assistance and guidance for teachers and students participating in the competition.
It is reported that more than 50,000 college students with 11,077 works from 103 colleges and universities in Zhejiang province has participated in the competition. 1,338 works were selected and recommended to participate in the semi-final. After the semi-final competition, a total of 273 works from 51 universities entered the final competition.
