On May 23, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement between China Jiliang University (CJLU) and Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine is held at meeting room A213. Yang Wanshan, party secretary of Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine, and Xu Jiangrong, president of CJLU attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Heads of Party-Mass Work Department, Science and Technology Management Department, Research Institute of Health Inspection and Quarantine of Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine, heads of Research Institute of Science and Technology, Graduate School and College of Life Sciences of CJLU, and teacher and student representatives attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by head of External Liaison Office of CJLU.
Xu Jiangrong warmly welcomed the delegation led by Yang Wanshan, and briefly introduced CJLU. He pointed out that CJLU adheres to the spirit of the important instructions of Comrade Xi Jinping when he inspected the university in 2004, focusing on serving economic and social development with characteristic education and scientific research. He said that CJLU fully highlights the characteristics of metrology, standards, quality, market regulation, inspection and quarantine, and has achieved rapid development by focusing on the construction of characteristic disciplines groups, and highlighting the supporting role of characteristic scientific research. He stressed that the establishment of strategic cooperative relationship between the two sides and in-depth cooperation in personnel training, scientific and technological research, achievement promotion and application, resource sharing and other aspects will help fully gather the functional and platform advantages of Academy of Inspection and Quarantine and the advantages of teaching, scientific research and talent resources of CJLU, which will effectively promote the high-quality development of scientific research cause of inspection and quarantine. He hopes that the two sides will focus on building a high-level research platform and attracting high-level talents to produce high-level cooperation outcomes.
Yang Wanshan expressed his gratitude to CJLU for its support to Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine over the years. He pointed out that both Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine and CJLU are important components of the national strategic scientific and technological force and jointly undertake the mission of achieving high level of scientific and technological self-reliance. The two sides have a good foundation of previous cooperation, such as the application of the national key research and development program, the application of scientific and technological achievement awards, and the training of featured teachers. The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement marks a new level of cooperation between the two sides. He hopes that the two sides will implement the contents of cooperation as soon as possible, form a long-term working mechanism, and contribute to promoting the development of market regulation, supporting scientific and technological self-reliance, and serving economic and social progress.
At the ceremony, Yang Wanshan and Xu Jiangrong signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides and unveiled the nameplate of “Joint Training Base for Postgraduates”.
After the ceremony, the delegation led by Yang Wanshan visited Metrology Museum and Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Biometrology and Inspection and Quarantine. Dr. Li Yanrong conducted academic exchanges with our teachers and students on food quality and safety.
