Jan 8, 2024

The Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province recently announced the 2023 list of Provincial-Level International Science and Technology Cooperation Bases. China Jiliang University's "International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Big Data and Intelligent Computing in Smart Manufacturing" was recognized as one of the 2023 Zhejiang Provincial International Science and Technology Cooperation Bases.

The "International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Big Data and Intelligent Computing in Smart Manufacturing" is supported by the College of Science, focusing on interdisciplinary research in areas such as intelligent sensing and data acquisition, big data analysis and mining, intelligent detection and computing, and physical metrology. Over the past decade, collaborative research with multiple countries in these fields has led to the formation of a four-dimensional international cooperation model: "collaborative exchange, joint training, technological innovation, and breakthrough development". This base has successfully established the Sino-foreign cooperative master’s program in analytics, co-led the development of international standards, jointly undertaken research projects, and published high-impact research papers, resulting in numerous original scientific achievements. These breakthroughs have also been applied in new intelligent sensing, smart industrial equipment, and intelligent control, contributing to the advancement of next-generation artificial intelligence and big data technologies.

The "Zhejiang Provincial International Science and Technology Cooperation Base" is named by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province and is a key component of the province's international science and technology cooperation system. It serves as a comprehensive demonstration base, primarily involving provincial universities, research institutes, industrial parks, and enterprises, to utilize global innovation resources and engage in international science and technology competition and cooperation. The establishment of such bases aims to expand and diversify international cooperation channels, attract and integrate global innovation resources, explore and promote new models of international scientific cooperation, and play a leading role in deeper participation in global science and technology collaboration and innovation governance.
