Representatives from the University of Camerino Visit Our University

On the morning of April 29, Marta Aureli, Director of the International Office, and Renato De Leone, Assistant to the President from the University of Camerino, visited our university for an exchange visit. Vice President Wang Binrui warmly received the guests in the A216 conference room of Mingde Building and led the discussions. During the meeting, Vice President Wang emphasized the potential for leveraging the strengths of both universities to explore comprehensive teaching and research collaborations focusing on identifying opportunities for joint academic and research initiatives.

During the meeting, both parties provided detailed introductions to their respective universities' development histories, academic programs, and course structures. The discussions primarily focused on dual-degree graduate programs, summer camp initiatives, and short-term student exchange programs. It was noted that the two universities' academic offerings align closely, presenting significant cooperation advantages and potential. Both sides agreed to maintain close communication following the meeting and to delve further into specific collaborative projects. After the meeting, the guests, accompanied by staff from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, toured the campus and the Yifu Metrology Museum.

In the afternoon, the guests held a project exchange meeting with student representatives from the College of Science in Room A305 of the Huanyu Building. Marta Aureli provided details about the dual-degree programs and short-term student exchange projects, including study methods, application requirements, and fees. She also shared information about the experiences of Chinese students at the University of Camerino and addressed questions from the student representatives.

This exchange has laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two universities and has facilitated preliminary arrangements for our delegation's visit to the University of Camerino in May. It is expected to further deepen the cooperation between both parties.

The University of Camerino (Università di Camerino, UNICAM) is a prestigious comprehensive university in Italy. Established in 1336 and located in the province of Macerata in the Marche region, it was granted the authority to confer bachelor's and doctoral degrees by Pope Gregory XI in 1337. The university is a member of the European University Association (EUA), the Erasmus+ program, the FRINDOC Alliance, and the European EURAXESS network. UNICAM comprises five faculties, covering architecture and design, biological sciences and veterinary medicine, pharmaceuticals and health products, law, and science and technology.
