The ceremony officially began with welcoming remarks by Vice President Wang Binrui, who extended his greetings to all new international students. He highlighted the importance of international education exchange and encouraged students to actively engage in academic activities, cultural events, and social practices during their time at CJLU. He also expressed the hope that students would serve as bridges of friendship between China and their home countries.

Professor Xu Quan from the College of Sciences spoke on behalf of the faculty. He welcomed the newcomers and shared advice on academic planning, innovation, and cross-cultural exploration, encouraging students to stay curious, express themselves boldly, and make the most of their time in China.

She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to pursue her studies in such a diverse and beautiful university. She emphasized that meaningful learning goes beyond classrooms—it happens through conversations, exploration, and cultural understanding. She believes that learning Chinese will enable students to become connectors between nations.

University representatives then presented university badges to 16 freshman representatives, symbolizing the passing on of CJLU’s values and expectations.
