On October 30, Peter Sachsenmeier, Member of acatech – National Academy of Science and Engineering, Germany, visited China Jiliang University for an on-site inspection and exchange. Dai Daoxin, Vice President (in charge of daily administrative work), attended the discussion, along with representatives from the University Office, Development and Planning Office, Research Institute of Science and Technology, International Office, and Liangxin College. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Wang Binrui.
Vice President Dai Daoxin extended a warm welcome to Academician Sachsenmeier and introduced the university's development history, key disciplines, and international cooperation initiatives. He highlighted CJLU's efforts to build a student-centered, innovation-driven education system and to reform talent cultivation models. Dai expressed the hope that this visit would serve as a starting point for collaboration with Academician Sachsenmeier's team in areas such as joint research projects, high-level talent training, and technology transfer, exploring new pathways for the integration of education and industry.
Peter Sachsenmeier expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and appreciation for the university’s achievements. He introduced his team, noting that as one of the main contributors to Germany’s Industry 4.0 concept, they focus on the integration of information technology and manufacturing, promoting cooperation among universities, research institutions, and enterprises to facilitate the transformation and upgrading toward intelligent manufacturing. He looked forward to future collaboration to deepen integration in areas of mutual advantage and jointly contribute to global sustainable development.
Following the meeting, Sachsenmeier and his delegation visited the Metrology Museum on campus.
